You may have heard the term Internet of Things being thrown around lately. But what is it exactly? Techopedia.com defines The Internet of Things as “a computing concept that describes a future where everyday physical objects will be connected to the Internet and be able to identify themselves to other devices.” Basically all of the objects we use and interact with in our daily lives will be connected and sharing data with each other without any human interaction. Sidewalks, bottles of water, even your toilet will be chatting away 24/7 with everything else.

My dear Gearboxers, I love horror. I have for as long as I can remember. I'll watch almost any scary movie that is put in front of me. From slashers to ghosts to leprechauns, I enjoy them all. But I was having a conversation with my brother today and we both agreed that there have not been nearly enough actually scary movies as of late. Certainly there have been some that I enjoyed, but few that actually keep me awake at night. Is this just part of growing up? Do we become jaded that fewer and fewer things leave us with the uncontrollable urge to cover our eyes, whispering internally "It's not real" repeatedly until our sane mind catches up with our imaginations? Or are we currently living in a drought of films that act as nightmare fuel?

Internet in All Its… Everything
Oh, how I love the internet. For someone with such a fascination in learning useless knowledge as myself, there is nothing better than a good trip, and by trip and I mean fall, into the pit that is the internet.
Is it just me or is useless knowledge always the most interesting? Sure knowing how to drive a stick shift is a practical skill that is useful in life but did you know there is a jelly fish out there that could theoretically live forever! This is why I shall write these articles for you. Articles detailing my most recent explorations into the internet and what strange, scary, brilliant and mystifying things I happen to come across.

I believe I may be addicted to audio. I love music as much as the next guy but that’s not the audio I’m talking about today. It’s the podcasts and audiobooks that have me hooked. It is they who occupy my ear wholes for hours and hours every week. “I can stop whenever I want to” I say to myself reassuringly but who am I kidding?

It’s not a rare occasion for me to waste away my free time by discovering new mobile games that are simultaneously addicting but otherwise unmemorable, some notables including Nimble Quest, Fairway Solitaire, and Whale Trail. These games are great while I’m playing them but once I get bored, I rarely think back fondly on the mass amounts of time spent with them. But recently I may have found an exception to my mobile game woes.
I discovered a game called Heroes Rise: The Prodigy, available on Google Play, the AppStore, Amazon Kindle and even The Chrome Web Store. This game, by Zachary Sergi of ChoiceOfGames.com, is an interactive novel in which you take the rule of an up incoming super hero in Millennia City. As you are forced to make tough decisions that will decide your fate, you are responsible for several resources such as Health, Money and Power all the while managing relationships with people you meet throughout the story.
